Objective: Translate a word and observe any differences in structure and meaning.

Start With:

A word that is relevant to you.

Steps:

  • Choose a language that uses different characters from yours.
  • Find a translation dictionary with definitions for that language.
  • Look for a translation.
  • Watch the example video to get a sense of what you can research.
  • Visit the gallery if you need some inspiration.

Questions to Consider:

  • Are there multiple translations?
  • If there is no translation, is that because the word has no significance in the language?
  • How are the characters drawn?
  • How is the word pronounced?
